I have 171 photos on flickr. I think this is one of my favorites. Maybe its because I am feeling sentimental about Fred in the last few days. But I am not getting into this on a blog. No way Jose. Let's concentrate on the image.

In Brussels many of the houses have their windows covered in lace curtains, as pictured here. I love the stripe of green that intersects the image and the fake plastic flowers. When I take pictures of Fred I tell him to make his serious European face. I hate pictures of people smiling like they've been programmed. Its very misleading because Fred is actually really full of life.

More presence in cyberspace?

Do I need more presence in cyberspace? I have a hard time managing (now 4!) email accounts, profiles on assorted websites, and a flickr account. Of all the web real-estate I am occupying the flickr page is the only one that I really care about, that means something to me. Its my own photo journal of sorts. I really enjoy chosing the images and organizing them on the site. I do put some effort to "put the photos" out there by adding tags and sending images to groups. However the only photos that seem to get any attention are the "beefcake" ones...

My blog will not be about the mundane details of my personal life. I don't really read other people's blogs and am not sure why someone would be interested in mine. However I will use my blog to complement my flickr page and maybe share some anecdotes about the photos...the places, the people and of course the memories.
